Everyone had such high hopes for this local movie by Australian cinema’s enfant terrible. Filmed in exotic, outback locations, depicting an old lost Australia, it took years to make.
Unfortunately it was panned by critics, performed dismally at the box office, and dragged the Australian film industry down.
Yes, for many reasons Welcome to Woop Woop is rather forgettable.
