It's not Hanson, says expert
Wed, 18 March 2009
A forensic anatomist has analysed a pastel drawing claimed to be of a young and semi-naked Pauline Hanson - and delivered this verdict: "It is just not her."
"That is not me in that drawing," said Ms Hanson - who is planning legal action against media outlets.
"I truly believe this is another attempt to keep me away from the floor of parliament," said Ms Hanson, who is standing as an independent in the Queensland state poll on 21 March 2009.
The wrath of Bligh
Sun, 8 March 2009Maybe it's the ears, or maybe just the botox, but Anna Bligh looks like she is channeling Kirstie Alley from her Star Trek days.

Support Muntadhar al-Zaidi. Give Bush the boot
Wed, 17 November 2008A lot has been written about Muntadhar al-Zaidi, since he gained notoriety by throwing his shoes at George Bush during a recent Baghdad press conference.
Muntadhar al-Zaidi even has his own Wikipedia page. A quick Google search throws up thousands of pages already. And bloggers are rather supportive.
Well, there is an easier way for you to give George Bush the boot.
Don't write a letter, or make a blog post. Wrap up your old boot and post it to George Bush. More »
An Australian movie
Thu, 27 November 2008Everyone had such high hopes for this local movie by Australian cinema’s enfant terrible. Filmed in exotic, outback locations, depicting an old lost Australia, it took years to make.
Unfortunately it was panned by critics, performed dismally at the box office, and dragged the Australian film industry down. More »

Corporate Coup Claque Clan
Wed, 1 October 2008
Mike Moore believes the so called Wall Street bailout is nothing but a corporate coup. He is not alone.
A number of economists have also expressed their concerns.
There are any number of things ordinary people can do to make sure they are heard.
Jobs with Justice is calling for a National Day of Action. If that is too much effort there are email campaigns or online petitions.
It's not all left-wing nutters either. There is growing right-wing opposition to the Paulson plan.
Recent reports suggest only 28 per cent of Americans support the Federal bailout plan. The rest of them are as mad as hell.
In the end bankruptcy might be the better option. Still, there is some good news. McCain may suspend his campaign again. More »
Sarah Palin ready for her debate
Tue, 30 September 2008
After a thorough make-over and intensive rehearsals Sarah Palin is finally ready for her first debate.
"And I do look forward to Thursday night, and debating Senator Joe Biden," said Sarah Palin.
"I'm looking forward to meeting him, too."
"I've never met him before, but I've been hearing about his Senate speeches since I was in, like, second grade."
The bar has already been set so low that Palin would not have to do much to end up looking good.
And no matter what Biden says or does, the Republicans will paint him as condescending, patronising and an insensitive bully. More »

Palin speaks McCain runs
Friday, 26 September 2008GOP vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin interruped her hectic speed dating sessions with foriegn leaders to speak to Katie Couric about the economy and the McCain campaign's ties to lobbyists.
Watch the interview on CBS. I don't believe she could dress a goose, let alone actually shoot one. It's no wonder McCain is suspending his campaign.
Sarah Palin's grip on foriegn affairs is even more interesting. She makes George Bush sound intelligent. The bit about Putin rearing his head and coming into the airspace of the USA was a real eye opener. It's the kind of interview that could just give John McCain a heart attack. More »

Google ups the ante with Office View
Thursday, 7 August 2008
Undaunted by the public backlash by privacy activists around the world Google is pushing ahead with its latest development which lets people explore inside buildings, both above and below ground level for the first time with little more than a computer and an internet connection.
It is believed Google’s success with Street View has enabled the company to begin moving into the next phase a lot sooner than anticipated and take advantage of a new business opportunity.
"Our ambition is to be a more than a world map," said a Google spokesperson. "We can now take this one step further and allow users to locate office cubicles, vending machines, bathrooms, stationery cupboards, and fax machines with precision." More »

To Hell and Barack
Thursday, 22 May 2008Hillary Clinton has no intention of stopping the fight and will take it all the way to the party’s convention in August.
Clinton is unlikely to concede should enough superdelegates push Obama across the line. She will just declare her intention to run as an independent.
She has moved from the math to the map. “Look at the states I’ve won. Look at the states I’m leading in. Look at the electoral map. It is clear I’m the stronger candidate,” is her new mantra. More »
The gospel according to Hillary

"I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base." — on visiting Bosnia in 1996, contradicting other accounts that said there was no threat of gunfire. Clinton later said she "misspoke".
"I have to confess that it's crossed my mind that you could not be a Republican and a Christian."
"God bless the America we are trying to create."
