Formerly named Sichuan Jintang County Tap Water Company, Chengdu Tuoyuan Tap Water Co., Ltd. is a subordinate public institution of water supply system. The company was reformed to a solely state-owned enterprise in October 2011, and transferred all its shares to Chengdu Municipal Waterworks Co., Ltd., Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co., Ltd. in January 6, 2012, with shareholding of 51%, 39% and 10% respectively. After the expansion and capital increase of the No. 2 water supply plant in January 2015, the percentage of shares owned by Chengdu Municipal Waterworks Co., Ltd., Dujiangyan Water Conservancy Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Co., Ltd. was redistributed to 53.71%, 41.07% and 5.22%.
I. Overview
Covering an area of 46.83 mu, Chengdu Tuoyuan Tap Water Co., Ltd. boasts one water purification plant with water supply capacity of 40,000 tons per day, five water supply pressure stations located in Xianfeng, Yangliu, Qingjiang, Qixian and Guancang, with respective water supply capacity of 6,000 tons, 20,000 tons, 3,000 tons, 3,000 tons and 3,600 tons per day. According to the Concession Agreement of Water-supply Service in Jintang Town signed between Water Affairs Bureau of Jintang County and Chengdu Tuoyuan Tap Water Co., Ltd., Chengdu Tuoyuan Tap Water Co., Ltd. was given the concession to supply water across Zhaozhen, Sanxing, Qingjiang, Guancang and Qixian.
By using surface water treatment process, the company is capable of supplying water reaching 36,000 tons each day, benefiting population about 300,000. By 2020, the company will be able to supply 85,000 tons for 400,000 population living in Zhaozhen, Sanxing, Qingjiang, Guancang and Qixian as well as main rural settlements. In addition, daily water supply capacity will be estimated to hit 120,000 tons by 2023, benefiting as many as 500,000 population.
